Sorry for bothering with this post, but Im so happy and wanted to share this inf. Really tl dr "resetting position" sets your SteamVR position to "0" not necessarily your game position. After a year of being deskie, I will finally lvl up and become a questie/PCVR. Tl dr in a perfect box if you used only us to move you would move back to origin, but the second you turn/use the motion in game the games co-ordinate system does not match steamvr's and you might end up in un-expected/new areas on reset. This works, and it eliminates the need for Playspace Mover entirely since OVR Advanced Setting now has that ability. we are effectively blind to the game's co-ordinate system, as such when you do things like use the games locomotion/turning it changes the percieved origin point.Įven hitting things like collisions in game could cause the perceived origin to change. To reset your playspace, what I did was head over to OVR settings and selected Space Fix, then selected the Revert option at the bottom. Using the Reset keybind option in motion in keybindings or the Reset option in the Offsets tab is the more correct way. "Revert All Changes from this Session" is not really meant for the offsets (though it should work) im trying to set up playspace mover i used one that i had to run in the background before but that stopped working so now i wanne set it up in over i put it to left and right hand and did bindings but its not working. Im still learning how to fully utilize the playspace mover in OVR Advanced Settings. Solution for Windows (1803+): go to Settings -> System -> Display -> Select Classic App and Browse for AdvancedSettings.exe -> Click Options -> Select High. So first off Just making sure you are on 5.2.0 (front page bottom right) OVR Advanced Settings > Troubleshooting > Topic Details. If I move too much in Playspace, Im unable to reset and have to restart StreamVR. Solution for Nvidia GPU's: go to Nvidia Control Panel -> manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> add Advanced Settings, and change OpenGL Rendering GPU to the GPU your VR is connected to. Well There are two values ~8km and ~40km out that behavior might change a bit but I doubt you are hitting those XD.
